Wow, this stuff goes fast! So, the SkinCeuticals vitamin C serums seem to last for ages: 5 drops daily, it lasts for several months. This hydrating gel, on the other hand, was totally used up in maybe 2-ish months? Maybe I used too many drops at a time (shrug). It is viscous and a bit slimy, but absorbs quickly and leaves no residue. I used it after a light toner and followed it with a light moisturizer. While it is very hydrating upon application, my skin didn't feel extra hydrated throughout the day, nor did I notice any cumulative effects with continuous daily usage for a duration of 2+ months. I categorize hydration/moisture products as either adding water to the skin or keeping water in the skin. This is an "adding water" kind of product, for sure. Nothing personal against the product, but it just doesn't seem like a good enough bang for my buck. I may consider repurchasing one day in the winter, if my skin feels super dry (and maybe I'll pair it with a more heavy-duty moisturizing lotion or cream?) But a regular moisturizing lotion feels sufficient for my face at this time.

This was my first purchase of the B5 Gel. I had used another hyaluronic line but this Gel is superior and not drying as some acids can be on your skin. It truly hydrates my skin. It is lightweight and easily absorbed. I follow up with a light layer of SkinCeuticals Daily Moisturizer . I will definitely reorder and keep the B5 Gel as part of my lineup of SkinCeuticals daily use products.
